What Item 92011 is used for

The video-attendance equivalent of item 228: a prescribed medical practitioner (PMP, i.e. a non-VR GP) conducts the same Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health assessment by video rather than face-to-face, at the same schedule fee. It covers the same content as the in-person assessment — recognising the patient’s health priorities, history, relevant examinations, any required investigations, an assessment, any necessary interventions and referrals, a documented health plan including follow-up, an offered written report, and a record in the medical records.

Applicable only if this item, or item 715, 228 or 92004, has not been provided to the patient in the preceding 9 months. The usual telehealth conditions apply (an existing clinical relationship or other exemption under the Telehealth Attendance Determination; a genuine video consultation able to provide the full service safely).
