Five payments the government introduced from Semester 1, 2026 to support registrars on their fellowship journey. Tell us three things about your situation — we'll show what you can claim, with exact amounts.
💰 Biggest new incentive
$30,000
Salary incentive (pro-rata FTE) when you commence your first community-based GP training term (PCT1) in Semester 1, 2026 or later. Full-time = $5,000/month across 6 months. Part-time = same $30k spread across 12 months. There are no location requirements.
1Which training pathway are you on?
Only Commonwealth-funded pathways (AGPT and RVTS) are eligible for these incentives. IMG status doesn't disqualify you — if you're on AGPT, you're eligible.
2Where are you in training right now?
The $30,000 salary incentive only applies if your first community-based PCT1 is in Semester 1, 2026 or later. Study leave and parental leave are available to all continuing registrars from 2026.
3What's the MMM classification of your training practice?
MMM = Modified Monash Model — check your practice location at Health Workforce Locator. MM 1 = major cities (no NCP rural top-up). MM 2-7 = additional payments scaled by remoteness.
