We don't have accounts and we don't ask for your name, email or health details. What you type into a calculator or tool is processed in your browser and is not sent to us. We use Google Analytics to count how the site is used (including which tools are used and what people type into the site search box), and we show ads through Journey by Mediavine, which may use cookies. Everything is free — there are no payments on this site. Details below.
Anonymous usage analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 (through Google Tag Manager) to understand which tools are popular and how people find the site. It records page views, approximate location (country or city), device and browser type, how you arrived, and simple actions such as using a calculator, opening a section, copying, printing or sharing a result, clicking an outbound link, or installing the site as an app. It does not record the values you enter into calculators. It does not identify you personally, and IP addresses are anonymised.
Site search: The words you type into the site search box are recorded as an analytics event so we can see what people look for. Please don’t type your name or personal health details into the search box.
Optional poll: Some visitors see a one-tap question asking whether they are a patient or a health professional. Your answer is recorded only as an anonymous analytics event.
Aggregate demographics (age/gender): We use Google Analytics' demographics reporting (powered by a feature called "Google Signals") to see broad age and gender breakdowns of our audience — for example, "what proportion of visitors to a calculator are in a given age bracket." This is aggregated, cohort-level data only. There is no row-level record tied to an individual visitor, and Google does not provide us any way to link a person's identity to the specific pages or health tools they used. This data only includes visitors who are signed into a Google account with ad personalisation enabled, and automatically excludes anyone under 18. You can opt out at any time via Google's Ad Settings.
Cookies: Our own pages use browser storage rather than tracking cookies (see “Stored on your device” below). Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Journey by Mediavine may set cookies. Our video walkthroughs load from YouTube (Google) only after you press play, and YouTube may then set cookies. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings.
This site displays ads via Journey by Mediavine. Mediavine and its advertising partners may use first- and third-party cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other websites. This is known as personalised advertising — even if you opt out, you'll still see non-personalised ads.
You can opt out of personalised advertising via the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page or the Digital Advertising Alliance. On mobile devices, use the AppChoices app.

Calculators, forms and trackers on this site run in your browser using JavaScript. The values you enter are not sent to our servers or stored in a database by us, and we cannot see them.
To make the site work, your browser stores some things locally on your device only: your theme, text size and country choice, recently used tools, saved checklists, logs and medicine lists in tools that offer saving (for example blood pressure, blood sugar, symptom diary, wound logs and emergency information sheet), and an offline copy of pages you have visited so they load faster or open without a connection. We cannot see this information. It stays until you clear your browser’s site data, so on a shared or public computer please clear it or use a private window. If you install the site as an app, it is stored the same way.
Some tools, such as the public hospital waiting times page, load published figures directly from the data provider (for example the AIHW MyHospitals API). Your browser contacts that provider, so it receives your IP address and the request made (such as the hospital you pick) under its own privacy policy. We do not receive that information. Links to other websites are provided for convenience and those sites have their own policies.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. Some of them (including Google, Cloudflare and Mediavine) handle data on servers outside Australia.
We will never sell your data to third parties. Full stop.
