Key rules: Imaging requests do not expire — valid until the test is done. · From 1 July 2026, a single request form covers all listed imaging services for 14 days (up from 7) — so a patient can complete multiple scans on one form across a fortnight. · CT angiography requires specialist discussion first — except CTPA for PE (GP can request independently, write "exclusion of pulmonary embolism"). · CTCA is specialist-only. · Always document the clinical indication clearly.
