What AskMyGP is

AskMyGP (askmygp.com.au) is a free Australian health-tools site — Medicare and PBS cost calculators, screening and eligibility checkers, plain-English guides, and quick clinical references — built and maintained by a practising Australian GP, for both patients getting ready to see a doctor and the clinicians treating them.

How it's put together

A few practical details, in case they're useful to know rather than as a pitch:

🩺
It sticks to information, not advice. Every page says so, and points back to "talk to your doctor" rather than trying to stand in for that conversation.
📋
Clinical and billing content is checked against official Australian sources and kept current — factual pages carry a dated "Verified" note.
⚖️
Content decisions are kept separate from any funding, via a published editorial independence & funding policy.
🔒
Nothing to sign up for, and no patient data collected. Tools that remember anything (a tracker, a checklist) keep it in the visitor's own browser, not on AskMyGP's servers.

Where this happens to overlap

We don't know the specifics of your region's programs — this is just where the site's content happens to line up with things PHNs commonly work on. Each links straight to the relevant tool.

Mental health pathways
Chronic disease / care plans
Smoking & vaping cessation
Digital health & MyMedicare
Workforce & IMG / registrar support
MBS billing lookups

If any of this is useful to share

Entirely optional, and none of it needs sign-up or asking first. We'd just genuinely like to hear from you if you do use any of it.
