A free, GP-built health-information site. To be upfront about what this is and isn't: we're not trying to set guidelines, position AskMyGP as an authority, or tell anyone — GPs or patients — what's clinically right. The goal is smaller and more practical than that: reduce friction, and make good, current, plain-English information a bit easier to find. Below: what it is, how it's put together, where it happens to overlap with what PHNs already work on, and a few things you're welcome to share if any of it's useful — no obligation either way.
AskMyGP (askmygp.com.au) is a free Australian health-tools site — Medicare and PBS cost calculators, screening and eligibility checkers, plain-English guides, and quick clinical references — built and maintained by a practising Australian GP, for both patients getting ready to see a doctor and the clinicians treating them.
A few practical details, in case they're useful to know rather than as a pitch:
We don't know the specifics of your region's programs — this is just where the site's content happens to line up with things PHNs commonly work on. Each links straight to the relevant tool.
Entirely optional, and none of it needs sign-up or asking first. We'd just genuinely like to hear from you if you do use any of it.
No pitch, no follow-up needed — happy to answer questions, or just to say hello.
