What Item 30062 is used for

Removal of an etonogestrel subcutaneous contraceptive implant (branded as Implanon NXT in Australia). Item 14206 is the matching insertion item — see below.

Both items can be claimed together when an implant is removed and a new one inserted at the same visit. When bulk billed, item 35501 (the LARC bulk billing incentive loading) can be claimed once, immediately after the relevant procedure item, adding 40% of that item's schedule fee.
