This tool shows eligibility information from the NIP Schedule — including "approaching eligibility" estimates for vaccines that become free at a set age, calculated from the age you enter. These are program-eligibility facts, not a personal health recommendation. Some state/territory health departments fund additional vaccines not listed here. Always discuss your vaccination needs with your GP or immunisation provider.
🛡️ Three vaccines worth reviewing for older Australians. The Department of Health recommends checking flu (free 65+ and ATSI 6mo+, annual), COVID-19 (free under the NIP from 1 Oct 2026 for adults 75+ — two doses a year — adults 65–74, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people 50–74 and adults 18–64 with severe immunocompromise — who is funded) and RSV (free 75+ and ATSI 60+, usually a one-off dose). All three can be given at the same appointment, and it's never too late in the year to catch up. You do not need to wait 6 months after a COVID-19 infection to receive a vaccine dose. None of these apply to you? That is fine — just enter your age above and select Check my eligibility. Annual flu is recommended for every adult, and we will show anything else worth discussing with your GP.
💉 Can I have two vaccines at the same visit?
Check any combination — flu + COVID, flu + shingles, RSV + flu and more.
